There is the sure fired answer that comes to most peoples mind first,

“it’s a confidence booster!”

how is boudoir healing

But what happens if it’s not?

There isn’t a woman around who hasn’t thought of a boudoir session and somewhere there after thought to themselves,

“that’s not for me”

or

“I don’t have a boudoir body”

or

“I’m sure the photographer is great but I’m not photogenic.”

The inner critic might go as far as

“seeing myself like that will ruin any confidence I do have.”

The inner critic is a bitch.

She’s repetitive, she’s controlled by fear and she lllooovvveessss to talk.

But, what if you’re trying to ignore those pesky thoughts? What if, you’ve come so far on your healing journey to KNOW that the inner critic can be silenced?

What if, you believe deep down that this could help you,

what do you lean on?

how does boudoir heal?

You lean on the knowing that boudoir helps women heal.

And, I’ll tell you how.

I’m going to give you a very short background on an energy center of the body and how it plays into the energy you project in your daily life.

Divine Feminine Energy is the label I’ll use to describe the energy of pure bliss.

how does boudoir help women heal

Divine Feminine Energy is fluid, nurturing, sensual, abundant, trusting, sexual, creative and confident.

I believe that the energy center where Divine Feminine Energy flows is a balanced second chakra, or the Sacral, located just below the navel. You know this physical space as the tummy.

Not only do mass amounts of women hate their tummies, they also have suppressed Divine Feminine energy from a deficient OR overactive Sacral Chakra.

They’re connected.

So, what does it look like when the Sacral Chakra is deficient?

Not being able to find joy in life, being afraid of connection, avoiding sensual/sexual activities, feeling detached from your physical body or emotions.

What does it look like when it’s overactive?

People pleasing, enmeshment, toxic sexuality, poor boundaries, manipulative or cannot contain emotions.

It’s completely normal to feel a little of both but the goal is to keep the Sacral balanced so that Divine Feminine Energy or simply put:

the ability to just be

can live in your energy field and physical body.

how does boudoir heal

When the Sacral Chakra is balanced, we feel good.

We feel in tune, fluid with life and decisions.

You trust your intuition and honor your emotions.

You feel confident, creative, sensual and in alignment with your sexuality.

When Divine Feminine Energy is flowing through your body, you feel calm.

You feel the abundance of life, you feel you can nurture yourself and others. You feel creative, fluid, sensual and embodied

(see the connection here?)

So, where does boudoir come in?

To me, it comes in first place.

Boudoir is everything the Divine Feminine Energy is

and everything the Sacral needs to feel balanced.

(No, it’s not going to magically cure you)

BUT, somatic experiencing is a therapeutic haven for physical and mental/emotional change.

Boudoir is

Creative

Expressive

Emotional

Sensual

Fluid

Embodiment

Boudoir is a recipe for helping the Sacral balance itself.

After a boudoir session, women have experienced incredible shifts.

“I felt so great after my session was over! Strong, independent, and most of all, I was being heard finally. I had so many unexpected emotions, but the one I didn’t expect was anger! It felt amazing to express that in such a powerful way.

I also realized that it's ok to speak up for myself, and to always want better for myself. Boudoir will make you feel like a new woman! I felt so good about my situation that I have been dealing with and this was the perfect form of therapy for me.” - H. N.

I felt so FREE, howling in the middle of the wilderness was so powerful!

The emotions that came roaring out was the part of me that had been suppressed deep down in my womb for so long.” - J. B.

Are you ready to feel empowered by your self view?

Are you ready to project peace into your daily life?

Are you ready to feel embodied?

This is an incredible step to add into your journey that is self love and authenticity.
