I felt so happy afterwards! I felt like calling every one of my girlfriends on my drive home and telling them how much fun it was. My session put me in such a good mindset even days after! I think it has definitely given me more confidence and helped me see myself as sexy.

There were many reasons I decided on a boudoir session, the main one was to find ME again. To know that no matter what size I've become I'm still beautiful. I've been through A LOT of crap in my life and I've pulled myself up out of all of it.

Looking back now, I always remember crying to my father about why he did this to me, I still remember begging him and telling him that I was being picked on because of what he made me look like and he would always say to me “this is who you are, and this is what you will always look like, you need to start accepting that.”

Everything in this human life is impermanent or temporary. Fear, happiness, love, tranquility, bliss, anxiety, sadness, joy, jobs, relationships, experiences, EVERYTHING is temporary. This can be a daunting concept. One might think, “But I want to be happy forever!” That’s an honorable wish - but, all good things and bad things are temporary. The idea that happiness may be gone in an instant, can be painful! Can be frightening! Can be daunting! Why? Shouldn't all good things last forever?

It's life changing, for real. You are beautiful just as you are, and sometimes it takes someone else capturing that to make you see it. I just want to say thank you to Molly for creating such a safe space within her studio as well as building an incredible social media community that empowers women of all walks of life. Being a part of that community planted the seed of confidence that ultimately led me to make the leap of faith and start my own healing process. I am truly grateful for that.

I have spent every single day learning to love myself and give myself credit for making it this far. I still struggle every day and I still have nightmares every night, but every morning when I wake up I try and make it better.

We all undergo struggles. It’s what we do with those struggles that determine the type of person we are. I have chose to NEVER forget those times of struggle in my life because it has made me exactly who I am today.

I was surprised that there were so many pictures of myself that I actually LOVED! I would never have imagined that I could love a picture of myself in lingerie.

I tend to dwell on the small physical things I’m unhappy with about myself. But as I’ve grown older I’m learning to accept ALL of me. I’ve learned to step outside of myself and see the person that I am. Self acceptance is a process and this photo shoot was definitely a part of it.

“Me-time” is an absolute necessity. It’s not my first time doing boudoir, it’s my third with Molly and each time it’s been an experience I will forever treasure. I do it for many reasons, my husband loves them is one, but mostly I do them for the empowerment and confidence they give me.
